Data sources
- File servers and NASWindows Server 2012 to 2022, NetApp ONTAP, Dell Isilon and OneFS, HPE 3PAR, Nasuni, Nutanix Files, Cohesity, Ctera and more, plus Linux and Unix over SSH.
- Cloud file and object storageAmazon S3; Amazon FSx for NetApp; Azure Blob Storage; Azure Files and Azure File Shares; Azure NetApp Files; Google Cloud Storage; Google Cloud NetApp Volumes.
- Microsoft 365SharePoint Online; SharePoint 2016 and 2019; OneDrive; Microsoft Teams; Microsoft 365 mailboxes.
- Google WorkspaceGoogle Drive; Google Shared Drives; Gmail.
- Content and collaboration platformsBox; OpenText Livelink; OpenText Content Suite; Salesforce; email and Slack archives.
- Virtual machinesAmazon EC2; Azure Virtual Machines; Google Cloud virtual machines.
- Streaming and structured sourcesJSONL streaming data; databases.
- Activity sourcesMicrosoft Purview and Microsoft 365 Copilot activity, so file activity logs are enriched with sensitivity and entitlement context.
Security and DLP
- Microsoft PurviewClassifies the unstructured content Purview cannot read and enriches Microsoft Purview Information Protection (MIP) labels with file-level context.
- NetskopeClassifications feed Netskope policies so data in motion is controlled according to what the file contains.
- Box ShieldFile-level classifications drive Box Shield classification and access policies for content in Box.
- TrellixEnriched metadata flows into Trellix data protection controls.
- SIEMEach scan produces audit logs your SIEM can ingest, and file activity enriched with sensitivity and entitlement metadata supports UEBA and alerting in one place.

Data catalogs
- CollibraSyncs discovered unstructured assets, attributes and hierarchies into the Collibra Data Catalog through a packaged workflow bundle.
- AtlanClassification signals and file context feed Atlan's Enterprise Context Layer, extending it to documents, PDFs, emails, contracts and scanned images.
Encryption and labels
- VirtruPasses content-based labels to Virtru, which encrypts each file in Trusted Data Format (TDF) with access controls that travel with the file.
- ThalesDiscovery and classification results sync with Thales rules and asset tagging, so sensitive files are protected by Thales data security controls.

Request a connectorUniversal connector
Where no native connector exists, the universal connector provides an API for connecting any datasource in your organization, so a custom connector can be built for the source you need. Legacy, bespoke, and in-house systems are in scope rather than an exception.

Build on DataXray, or buy it through a partner
API and SDK
A REST API exposes discovery, classification, search and redaction for your own downstream processes. A Python SDK lets your agents build gRPC connectors.
Procurement partners
Buy DataXray through a reseller partner. Public-sector teams can buy through partners on government contract vehicles.
Frequently asked questions
How many connectors does DataXray have?
DataXray has 55+ native connectors. Where no native connector exists, the universal connector lets a custom connector be built for your source.
Does DataXray replace Purview, Collibra or our DLP?
No. It reads the contents of files those tools cannot open and pushes the resulting classifications into them, so they enforce protection, cataloging and retention on what a file actually contains.
Do integrations require data to leave our environment?
No. DataXray is deployed inside your own environment, and your data never leaves it. It pushes classifications and labels to the tools you connect.
Does it support on-premises and air-gapped deployments?
Yes. DataXray runs on-premises and in fully air-gapped networks. In an air-gapped network, it connects to the sources and tools inside that network.
